The BU17 Premier team won the Manchester Cup tournament over the weekend of June 12-13 at Hickman Field, San Diego. The championship final (BU16 bracket) ended with a 2-1 defeat over FC Heat; the team is still considered BU16 until August 1st. Coach Hiatt-Aleu was very happy with the way the boys had played over the weekend, “The boys were consistent. They played an attractive style of soccer, focusing on passing fundamentals as well as utilizing the space on the pitch to create angles. Their success this weekend was based on their ability to posses the ball and work as a team.”
