Nado Select’s GU17 played in the Las Vegas Players Showcase, which is a very competitive Olders tournament attended by teams from all over the United States as well as Canada. It is a great tournament as it is also has a high percentage college scouts.
The girls played a total of four games resulting in 2 wins and 2 ties. In the 4 games played, the team only allowed 1 goal. Overall, it was a very successful weekend in regard to the quality soccer the girls played on the field as well as the number of college scouts coming out to watch the team play (about 5 to 6 college coaches at each game) . The team borrowed 3 players from GU18 who are young enough to play for the 2011 Nado Select GU18 team. With the addition of these 3 players, the 2011 GU18 team will be a very competitive team. 6 of the players have already been approached by college coaches.
