Vidal Fernandez Retires

After coaching at Nado Select for 10+ years, Vidal Fernandez has decided to retire from coaching. As most of his players will tell you, he is a coach that won’t and can’t be forgotten. Vidal always taught the players the beauty of simplicity when it comes to playing soccer and managed to keep smiles on his players faces as he told stories.

Vidal Fernandez was one of the greatest players to come out of San Diego. He was a two-time first team All-American at San Diego State University, and led the ’79 Aztecs to a then-school best record of 14-3-2 and conference championship. He was drafted by the New York Cosmos of the NASL and was a former member of the San Diego Sockers. He coached for 20+ years and holds his National B license.
